Vine Ripened

So the August Break is coming to an end.  August was a particularly stressful and busy month for me and participating in the Break with a focus on image based posts ended up being such a relief... it made keeping this space relatively up to date almost doable.  I am thinking that I will do more of the image focused / light on words posts going forward... it is fun to share what is a focus in my viewfinder.

The tomatoes are ripening in our garden... I hear that they taste wonderful with a dash of salt n pepper. (I don't eat raw tomatoes but the husband does.)  I can say first hand that they taste wonderful in a fresh tomato sauce and I am looking forward to making a pizza with them.  I love having a garden.

I know you've mentioned the raw tomato thing before, but it still gets me. I remember growing up eating freshly picked sliced tomatoes sprinkled with salt. I still love to do that. Oh... and caprese salad! Yum!

Abbie- it is such a bummer to me that I don't like raw tomatoes as there are lots of things that look so beautiful and I wish I would enjoy them. Something about the texture gets me and I find the flavor just overpowering - if there are raw tomatoes in a sandwich it is the only thing I taste! Dan loves to eat them with sliced and sprinkled with salt.
