The Meeting

We decided early on that we would see each other before the ceremony. We wanted to be able to be able to greet and celebrate with our guests and enjoy our cocktail reception rather than be off taking photos; particularly as our ceremony and reception were at the same venue thus the reception kicked off immediately following the ceremony. I am glad that we arranged our day this way as we were able to spend a little over 2 hours prior to the ceremony taking photos and there is no way we could have taken that much time if we did it during our reception (without missing half the reception anyways). For us, the walk down the aisle and seeing each other there was still intensely emotional. More on that Friday with the ceremony.

For now, just a few photos of our "first" meeting...

This is what my hubby looks like when he is a little nervous...

I was just chillin'... actually I was thinking that they better get down there as they were late!

We were so excited and just completely filled with emotion. I will never forget Dan's face

and the "Wow, honey!" that came out so quietly for a normally boisterous man...

My sister suggested wearing our wedding bands for the pictures... I am so glad that we did this so that they are in the couple photos that we took.

And then we were off to take photos!

Both of us so giddy at this point... as we were now so close to the wedding we had been planning for 16 months!
