The Little Something Extra

Friday, April 3, 2009 at 7:00AM I have become quite obsessed with making little pint-sized things for the newest additions to our extended family. There are just so many cute things you can make for babies. I am this close to finished the mobiles I started in January... just waiting on Jo-Anns to stock more of the ribbon I need to finish them off.
I am also obsessed with the little mini-DIY projects that add that little something extra to a regular item. Earlier this week I saw this cute little baby shirt where they added ric rac and I had to make one. I made it tonight in less than an hour... perfect timing as my sister is due this weekend!
I think it turned out pretty cute...

The shirt is from Target at $6.50 for 2, the ric rac is $.70 a yard from Jo-Anns, and the buttons are a couple from the jar on my dresser {I always keep the extra buttons on new shirts}. So this makes an inexpensive but cute little shirt to add to a gift.
And they are nice little additions to the regular baby shower gifts as they will not have seen this in the stores!
Have a lovely weekend!

That's adorable! I can't help but drool over baby stuff!
this is a lot more than cute. this is lovely !!!
This is so cute, I love the ric rac!!
I've been seeing babies and baby stuff EVERYWHERE! It's like in "Where I Met Your Mother", when Lily and Marshall were considering "trying" and they couldn't get babies off the mind... I need to stop!!!
