Pretty Little Jewelry Stand

Looking for a solution to the piles of jewelry on the top of my dresser, I came across this pretty little jewelry stand with charming antique details...

It has such sweet details and I love this for the inspiration of a bedroom.  White, gold, brown/tan, and yellows with simple patterns would create such a relaxing environment.

Pretty Little Milk Glass

Milk glass vases have been on the blog circuit for years but I can't get enough of them.  I think they are nearly a necessity.  They are instant pretty, right?

Presenting Sweet Treats

After you spend hours baking and decorating a cake (or cupcakes) you kind of want an equally pretty stand to present, no?  Or maybe even just a pretty dish to dress up for sharing a few everyday cookies.

Rosanna has such pretty dishes.  I could see using these to present sweet treats for years to come.

Make the Bedroom Dreamy

I love the approach of "use your personality as the guide" for decorating and where better to reflect your personal style than in the bedroom.

Lately I have been loving light, white, and blue.  And simple always is a winner in my book!

That table in the first image has me swooning, even though it would not fit in with any of our current furnishings!  But little things like a pillow case with a pretty trim or a fresh patterned lampshade would be such simple ways to freshen up the bedroom.

Pretty Little Finds

Have I ever mentioned that I love online window shopping?  I just love stumbling upon some pretty little accent. Online window shopping is a particularly nice escape after an especially gruelling week.

These baby booties from HappySolez are seriously pretty.  If I had a little baby girl I would have bought them in a second.  They would make a cute addition to a shower gift...

And I am quite smitten by this pretty little ring from Kyle Anne Metals, it is the perfect blend of simple with a little pop.

And I adore this vase.  Quite honestly I like almost everything in Coucou Madame's shop.

Sometimes pretty little touches are just so fun to browse and to ponder how they might fit into your collection.

Hammocks & High Tea

Have you seen the super pretty work at Hammocks & High Tea?  I am loving the design work for those household details such as tea towels and drawer liners.  They are the types of touches that can really add a little something extra special...

I think that I might love those drawer liners the most; they would just bring a smile everytime you saw them.  But I would als love those coral reef pattern tea towels.  What a nice gift either would be...  There is just something extra special about a gift that has such thoughtful design, is handcrafted, and isn't sold at every major retailer.

Unexpected Details

Isn't this the cutest tea packaging?  It took me a second to zone in on the little bird flying through the tea cup when I first saw it.  I love unexpected details like this and I suspect that I love them even a little more when it is something "smaller" and generally "everyday" that brings a little something extra to one's routine.  It is those little moments or elements that just make you smile (whether it is for the home, your outfit, or for the wedding) that are truly wonderful details.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Dressed for Fall Votives

Sometimes seasonal decor can be a bit much for my taste.  But a few, simple touches can really enhance and work with the atmosphere that mother nature is setting.  These husk-wrapped votives jumped of the page of the Better Homes and Gardens.

They are simple, dress up an inexpensive clear votive, and will likely fit in a variety of fall party settings.  These wrapped votives would add a touch of rustic warmth to anything from a wedding reception to Thanksgiving dinner.  The snippet in Better Homes and Gardens states that you can find clean, pressed husks packaged for tamale-making at grocery stores and to soak them in warm water to amek pliable for wrapping.

Sprucing Up

Whenever the seasons start to transition I find myself needing to transition or spruce up my look.  In an effort to cut spending, my fall shopping is predominately window shopping but I think I shall add a few new accessories to help spruce up and pull together my fall wardrobe.  There are lots of simple, pretty accessories this season...

The Sweetest Plates

Aren't these vintage melamine plates from Michelle Smith Designs Flea Market the sweetest?

If we had a cute little summer cottage by the lake (I swear we will someday and any pretty lake will due) I would want the cupboards to be filled with sweet dishes just like these.
