birthday cupcakes with sprinkles

We celebrated Dan's birthday this past weekend.  It was busy and very fun.  And we had cupcakes (flavored with Dan's limoncello- yum).  There should always be homemade cake of some sorts on a birthday... even better if there are sprinkles and polka dot flags.

I had these little white flags and used MT tape to give them polka dots.  Simple and easy.

Colors of Summer

Friday in the summer is a wonderful thing, full of promises for blue skies, puffy white clouds, green grass, sunshine and sunsets... along with all those little colorful and summery details like red berries, summer toned accessories, and crisp colored dishes...

Mini + White for an Elegant Vase

These little mini vases from RouDesigns are such wonderful simplicity that they are just beautiful.  They would be such a pretty little detail in a variety of home styles or maybe even a table setting for a party...

One of these vases just might look pretty on this old dresser, they would be a nice modern contrast to my childhood piggy bank. 

And these little salt n pepper shakers are just about perfect as they are simple yet almost unique to what your friends might have on their table (we don't want to all be the same- even down to the salt n pepper shakers, right?)...
