Saturday Morning at Montrose Dog Beach

Happy Saturday!  We are having the best start to the weekend with a perfectly relaxing Friday evening and an early morning Saturday visit to the dog beach.  Montrose dog beach is admittedly not my favorite nor is it Shelby's but we were out too late (8am) for taking the dogs to North Ave... so it worked and we had a blast.  We definitely appreciate having a dedicated and legal place for the dogs to enjoy the beach, thanks Chicago!

Enjoy your weekend!  Hope it as beautiful out where ever you are as it is here!

Great pictures Tara! Even though the Montrose dog beach is huge and overwhelming, I am always entertained there!

I just took Wilma this morning. Sadly, she's still afraid of the other dogs and of the water (each time we go this happens). At least I had a good time! :)

Hi Leslie! The dog beach is a fantastic space but it can be pretty crazy. My smaller dog has been jumped on several times by large dogs so she is leery of situations where there are lots of big dogs that are running around like crazy... so while she loooooves the beach she is a bit on guard at this one which is always super busy with lots of excited and happy dogs running about and lots of pretty large dogs. And I also prefer the more mellow beach experience with the dogs... that said, it is pretty awesome to have a dedicated off leash beach even if it is a little crazy. And our other, bigger dog takes this one in stride as he could care less if there are any dogs around as long as he has a tennis ball to swim after.
