Maramiki

There is just something about a simple, organic detail on a pillow or maybe a napkin.  And of course there is just something about having pieces in your home that include hand drawn illustrations on the handprinted textiles.  I first saw Maramiki, the work of artist Mara Snipes, at the Renegade Craft Fair this past winter and was completely impressed by the quality and thoughtfulness of her work.  I love how welcoming and friendly the textiles are... just the tone I want for our little home.

And how completely brilliant that you can not only buy yardage but these little "waste not stashes" which are just to tempting. I am working on building my fabric stash and this little pile of fabric is just so pretty!

Mara has lovely pillows, table linens, and other work both on her website and her etsy shop. I have favorited a few things in case anyone wants ideas for a Valentine's Day gift!

I love how delicate her work is while still remaining modern in its simplicity. Thanks for sharing!

These kind of remind me of the design on your wedding invitations.
