Lightly Cozy-up the Fall Home Decor

This past weekend gave us a tiny hint of fall with more comfortable, cooler temperatures.  And I collected my first pinecone during an afternoon walk.  Whether you start fall with the Labor Day holiday or with the fall sostice, there are signs of the changing season everywhere (we have leaves on the ground in Chicago!).

I like to keep my seasonal decor light and in tune with the rest of our home.  I went for a light and bright feel to our apartment so for fall I am thinking about creamy tones, texture from knit throws, and a bit of earthy mixed in for good measure. My thought is that light cozy touches will keep things airy enough to not feel heavy in a few months yet add a bit of warmth.
