It's a Boy!

On Sunday evening (7/1 - 39 weeks 1 day) my water broke while taking the dogs for their bedtime walk.  And after a very long 28 hours we welcomed James to our family on July 3rd at 3:35am.  Jaime has us completely smitten and in love. 

This guy loves to explore and subsequently scratch his face :)

I knew going into pregnancy that our lives would change... that I would change.  But knowing that and then having the surreal experience of labor and delivery followed by meeting my son has rocked my world more than I could have imagined.  At the risk of sounding like the grinch - my heart grew on Jaime's birth day.  And then watching my husband being his dad had my heart growing yet again.  

On Sunday morning I started to write the last post about our babymoon - my plan for this past week was to get the maternity posts that have been sitting in the queue finished and posted before there would be a squishable baby to post about.  I will probably try to squeeze in both sporadically over the next several weeks... you know, when I can take a break from watching this babe sleep and snuggling.
