Internet Forever!

You know how sometimes you hit that point where you should probably take a vacation before you explode? I am approaching that point.  That might be dramatic, but maybe not.  This post on Hyperbole and a Half kind of sums it up, really.  I was completely cracking up last night as I was reading it well past the point when I should have been in bed... Internet forever indeed!

I can definitely relate to falling into the time suck of the internet when rebelling against those grown up things you should be doing.  The guy above was falling into the time suck of scrolling through the blackberry... if leaving the office for lunch why keep staring at a screen instead of enjoying the pretty flowers surrounding you?

And while I usually like to completely leave the Loop behind on the weekends (who wants to spend their Saturday in the neighborhood of their office? Not me!), I am making an exception and heading back downtown to catch this photography exhibit at the Art Institute before it leaves.  My fingers are crossed that it doesn't rain all weekend as we are also hoping to fit in a hike.  A little break from screens is needed!
