Guitar 1

Tonight is my first guitar class.  I am not going to lie- I have this dream of playing guitar/singing fun songs with my family in our waterfront vacation home after a day filled with jumping off the dock and sailing a sunfish.  The talent show scene from Dan In Real Life is so sweet... maybe this future family of mine will completely copy this and have a talent show too.

Love that scene! I am interested in hearing how the lessons go - I have toyed with guitar lessons for a few years but feel like maybe I'm a one-instrument gal (I play piano).

Have fun with it! I've taken some guitar lessons over the years, and although I feel like I've plateaued and need more lessons to get better, I get so much joy from it. I at least know enough to be able to play some songs for my kids, which is awesome. And my family reunions were actually not far from that scene from Dan in Real Life. I hated the talent show, and yet I loved it and treasure the memories. Good luck!
