Antique & Vintage Charmers

Recently I spent a Sunday morning at Architectural Artifacts.  There was lots of antique eye candy but a few pieces really stood out and caught my eye.  Shiny collections, hints of glamour, and memories of a place where everyone knows your name...

Vintage is a slightly different subject for me as I tend to find myself pointing my lens at nature.  But I had a lot of fun working on these photographs.  A small collection of vintage & artifacts has been added to the shop - wouldn't one of those chandeliers be so much fun in a girly, glamorous dressing room?

Recently I had the opportunity to hang out with the cutest family making family photographs for them.  It was so much fun! As you might have guessed, if you have been reading this blog for any period of time, I am a huge fan of documenting life.  Capturing how you are right now as an individual and a family unit as it all changes so much over a lifetime.  Photographs are such a treasure and family memento.

This family just has so much character and spirit.  I had a hard time picking just a handful of favorites to share.

Isn't this family filled with cuteness?  I was completely honored to spend an evening in the park with them.

Oh and apparently my compulsive nicknaming knows no bounds... Spend a couple of hours with me and I just might add an 'ie' to the end of your kid's name!  This might come from those camp counselor days.

Or maybe romance should be in full on color?

Most of the time I prefer color.  And on the occasion that I love a shot in black and white it unwavering.  But this bridge has me torn... I love the green.  Full lush green trees put me at ease yet there is something almost dramatic with the black and white.  So I am posting both versions because that is the beauty of digital- options!
