Bicycle Chic
Apparently there is much I need to learn (beyond just acquiring a bike) to be a chic bicyclist...
I had thought in my practical, midwestern ways that I would simply wear knee length shorts and a nice easy pair of flats (Chucks perhaps) en route to work and then change into my skirt and heels at the office (if I felt the need to wear heels or a skirt that day). And that helmet hair would just be something to deal with. Silly me.
This skirt is maybe a little adventurist for my comfort level on potential flashings... But she does look chic, no?

And clearly I need to get over my fear of wearing heels while biking...

So while I will keep the helmet, I must try to stop seeing my bicycle riding as so utilitarian. I will repeat the mantra 'Style over Speed' as I get ready on my bike to work days.

Perfect timing, I biked to work for the first time today! Lovely photos.
This is great, we have all-American competition for http://www.copenhagencyclechic.com! Good to see you without the helmet, I gave them up a long time ago.
