An Earthy Toned Living Room
Maybe it is just me but every since the wedding I have been dying to redo/freshen up our home decor. As we are packing up for our new apartment, the desire to decorate has been intensified.
This is the one shot I have of our new living room:
And this is the what I am thinking about for the room:
Rug, Sofa, Lamp, Prints, Pillow, Curtains, Chair, Credenza
There is something comforting and approachable about a living room with an earthy color scheme. I love softer greens and browns as the main colors with a few pink and peach details.
We are on strict "no extra spending" phase so for a while I will be making due with what we hve but I would love to buy that little owl lamp and, well, actually all of it! I am going to have to keep checking Craigslist for a credenza...

I love the pops of green against the brown--a great modern twist to earthy. That geometric print is fabulous as well. West Elm has really cute white ceramic accessories (although no lamp, I think)--I just recently bought an elephant from them...so cute :-)
I have been possessed by the same desire. Since the wedding I want to rearrange and decorate our place. Well I would really love to move but that's on hold for now.
I love what you have thought up! Especially the cluster of pictures and the rug and chair! Great pieces that stand out without hurting your eyes! Good luck with redecorating!
ooooh, I like it. I hope we can find a nice nutral/airy living room and decorate it like that next time we move. right now our place is a hodge-podge of handmedowns that we'd like to be rid of but don't want to have furniture to move when the dude graduates....

Viola, we currently have a hodgepodge too - most of it still from college! And we are going to keep our 'major purchases' light as will be moving again in a few years.
