Hello there! My name is Tara and I am pleased to meet you.
In This Instance is a blog where I share what is inspiring me in my mission for creating a beautiful everyday life. Sometimes that inspiration includes lovely finds for the home, personal style, DIY projects, entertaining and hosting, as well as thoughts or ideas on living well.
In This Instance started as a creative outlet while I was planning my wedding, way back in November of 2007. I quickly became hooked on blogging and the creative, friendly community that I found. This blog has evolve along with me through those experiences of being a bride and a newlywed to exploring photography as it became so much more than a hobby.
Photography has been a life long interest. I have been making photographs of the things that make me smile since I got my first camera at the age of seven, just in time for summer camp. Over the past couple of years that passion for photography went in another direction with the purchase of a dSLR. Making photographs that capture real moments and life is my goal every time I click the shutter button.
I am a wife, a dog owner, a photography enthusiast, a sister, a crafter, a runner, and a life-long learner. I love a challenge, a good book or magazine, a glass of wine, summer, exploring new places, trying new foods, being outdoors, mucking around on the internet, and finding beauty in the simple and everyday.
I am inspired by exploring new places, the great outdoors and those bits and pieces that make the everyday amazing.
I live in Chicago with my husband and two rescue dogs.
